CHOOSING A CLIENT LIAISON
The members of the Board Directors serve for a three-year term. A Client Liaison may be selected to serve as a voting member and director of the Board. A nominating committee of the Board chooses the Client Liaison from the general client population within Monroe County.
Prior to the nominating committee meeting, a letter will be sent to all clients requesting that they submit a resume or personal history if they wish to be considered as Client Liaison to the Board. The nominating committee will review all resumes submitted and hold interviews among selected candidates. Once nominated the candidate must be approved by the majority vote of Board of Directors, as are all Board candidates.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLIENT LIAISON The Client Liaison represents all clients of AIDS Help as a voting member of the Board of Directors. The Client Liaison will make him or herself available to all clients who feel a need to communicate an issue, problem, complaint, or suggestion. If your issue or suggestion cannot be addressed by staff of agencies or providers that serve HIV/AIDS clients, then the Client Liaison will report those issue to the AIDS Help Board of Directors.
If you do not know who the serving Client Liaison is, ask your Case Manager and he or she will provide you with the name and current phone number. |
