I'm Stacy Stahl and I would love to be the next Queen of Fantasy Fest! Although I have lived in the Lower Keys on and off for the past 17 years, I was born and raised in northern New Jersey and grew up supporting many different charities and activities by following the lead of my parents, Karen and Vince Taporowski. My parents involved themselves in our community by helping with local parades, festivals, Rotary Clubs and hospital charity balls and fundraisers. I was able to help in my own ways at their events by selling hot dogs, raffle tickets, washing cars and being a junior volunteer at the hospital.
As an adult, I have always been involved in my community, whether through school activities with my daughter, Amanda Meehan, or through business organizations such as the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, where I was First Vice President, or Key West Association of Realtors, where I have served on the Board of Directors and as a committee member. My husband Karl and I actively support Sister Season and local pageants and fundraisers year round. During the day, you can find me at my office on South Street where I am currently a licensed REALTOR® and broker-associate with Realty Executives Florida Keys.
Perhaps my greatest satisfaction has been assisting other candidates in their endeavors to raise money for AIDS Help over the past few years. I am always amazed at the generosity of this community! My husband and I had always said that we wanted to continue to help because this organization fills a large financial gap and gives help to people with HIV/AIDS. This is my year to be able to help…and I look forward to it!
My campaign logo is a red and black corset. The red color represents the “Red Ribbon” as a reminder for all that the reason we do this is for AIDS Help. The corset is because I believe that deep down inside, everyone has a little “vixen” in them! My best wishes to all the other candidates and I thank everyone for all of their support!
